Smith & Williamson has double win at the Portfolio Adviser Wealth Manager Awards 2015

Friday, February 6, 2015

Smith & Williamson Investment Management has won platinum standard in the large firm balanced portfolio manager category and platinum grade in the large firm aggressive portfolio manager category at the Portfolio Adviser Wealth Manager Awards 2015.

These awards recognise exceptional talent in managing private client portfolios. This is the third consecutive year that Smith & Williamson has been recognised by awards for excellence.

The winners were chosen by a thirteen-strong independent panel comprising highly experienced members of businesses spread across financial planning, trusts, accountancy, consultancy and law.  The judges made their decision based on the applications of individual firms as well as detailed, quantitatively-driven research produced by Enhance Group, an independent organisation providing investment reporting. The judges were asked to take a forward thinking approach, voting for firms they felt would be most appropriate to recommend for the coming two years.

Chris Kenny, partner at Smith & Williamson Investment Management, received the prize on behalf of the group saying: “We are thrilled to have won at these awards for the third year running.  This recognition demonstrates the depth and strength Smith & Williamson has within the investment management team.”

The ceremony took place in front of leading industry experts at the Hotel Café Royal on 5 February, 2015.

Risk warning

Investment does involve risk. The value of investments and the income from them can go down as well as up. The investor may not receive back in total the original amount invested. Past performance is not a guide to future performance. Rates of tax are those prevailing at the time and are subject to change without notice. Clients should always seek appropriate advice from their financial adviser before committing funds for investment. When investments are made in overseas securities, movements in exchange rates may have an effect on the value of that investment. The effect may be favourable or unfavourable.
